5.1 reviewing strengths and weaknesses of my sound sourcing and sound creation

What do you feel were your strengths in sourcing y our audio and why?   My strengths in sourcing audio was researching and finding suitable audios, both diegetic and non-diegetic.  What areas would you like to improve on when sourcing audio in the future and why?   What I would like to improve on is learning how to find downloadable, suitable audio on youtube. This is because it was hard to find suitable audio that had a download link.  What do you feel were your strengths when creating your own audio and why?   My strengths in creating my own audio were adapting to the fact that i had to use my iphone and the voice notes app on that and also using tools around me to create the noise (clown horn). I feel like these are a strength because it shows the ability to adapt to things going wrong in production.  What areas would you like to improve on when creating your own audio in the future?   The areas i could of improved on was trying to make it so...

4.1 Intergrating diegetic and non-diegetic sound into a video project

Image
I imported audio files from bbc sound and youtube using mp3. The sounds from BBC Sound were then found in Apple Music after importing them into downloads. After that, I then unlinked the audio that comes with the video (simply by pressing the unlink option after left clicking), I then dragged the downloaded audio onto premier pro underneath the visuals. To actually edit the audio, I highlighted the audio clip I wanted and then clicked on the audio option at the top. I then worked out which sound it was that I was editing out of audio 1,2 and 3. Afterwards I then moved the dials on sound setting.(example/picture here:  ) I moved the dial to change the audio volume to the appropriate level so it fit the video. After adjusting all of the audio to the right volume, I then changed the speed and pitch of parts of the audio to give the desired effect of making the short video looking and sounding like an old cassette "haunted" style film. picture here:  But unfortunately, the la...

I am going to encode my short film onto youtube and Vimeo and the video will be suitable for high quality streaming and wireless devices. The video will be encoded in different resolutions, which are 480p SD for Vimeo, 1080 HD for both Vimeo and Youtube and 720p HD for Youtube. This will result in different quality and file sizes to be streamed.  youtube:  1080p and 720p Vimeo: 1080p and 480p https://vimeo.com/561319700 (480p SD) https://vimeo.com/561320449 (1080 HD)   both vimeo videos:  1080p-   https://click.email.vimeo.com/u/?qs=65400bb5d356851a4eb0e9b5e1ed0840cc4d49b909a2ee47ad17cec1626a9d7dfa4110a50cb5b5f9da218c0fd399360efe197cf7946312b2571e0d8f1494999a 480p-  https://click.email.vimeo.com/u/? qs=75a8008970cedfb80d47fab58afe4002ba43b994cf321d3d23856f64669b8b2312e3c68d9967e4fa1b2a45b73a84435c42bafc0d08b14cbce8dfa5048db4ef00 Youtube videos: 720p- https://youtu.be/UCOGj0Q2hso 1080p-  https://youtu.be/DmMqD_iMiuY

3.1 Create and record appropriate sound accompaniment for a video production (b)

The sound i created was the sound of a clown horn as it was needed in my video. It will be inserted into the video in the shots of the clown to sync up with the visuals showing the horn being squeezed. The device that i used to film my sound was my iphone, on the voice recorder app. How i used this app(voice memos), was simply by just clicking on the app and clicking on the red/record button for the time needed so all of the audio that was needed was recorded. I then just screen recorded while i was on the app, playing the recorded sound to then have the audio in video form to then unlink the visuals and the audio and just use the audio in the short film.

3.1 Create and record appropriate sound accompaniment for a video production (a)

For creating sound, I was going to use the dslr camera inbuilt microphone. But due to difficulties, I used the voice recorder off my iPhone (voice memos). The item that i used create the sound was the clown horn that was used in the video.

Visual effect 2.2

Image
 1. I first imported the two clips  and had one under the other (the one where I am not in it) to create a seamless effect. 2. I then clipped the video on top and added cross dissolve to both clips to make the effect more seamless. 3. I then ultra keyed the green blanket so it was more transparent than before. 4. Then, I made the clips black and white. 5. I then unlinked the audio of the second clip from the visuals and then clipped the audio. 6. I then media encoded the video. 7. I then uploaded the finished video to YouTube.

Leave Behind for presentation 2.1 Leave behind

In my presentation, I pitched my idea for the blast off music video that is yet to be made. My idea is the music video should be animated in a stereotypical cartoon/comic book style of animation, as this allows the visuals to be unrealistic as possible. This is a narrative and conceptual style of music video. The narrative for this video is that 3 children (representing past, present and future) find an abandoned lab and begin to explore it, that is until one of them falls into a time machine and the others follow. They get transported to random time periods in the past, present and future (as well as different planets). The main thing that I could of improved on was my speaking skills while nervous.
