Use research for individual visual effect 2.1
What is the effect? The invisibility cloak effect.
How am I going to achieve this effect?
- The equipment I will need is: a green cloak/blanket, tripod and a cannon camera.
- Would most likely have to be shot outside to give more of a realistic effect
- After filming, I would then need to open premier pro then edit it there. I would achieve this by importing the file then bringing in a new sequence to drag the video to a new layer so there is two identical video clips one on top of another. Then click on the toggle tool of the top layer so the bottom layer can be focused on. Find a spot where I am not in the shot and then right click and frame (frame hold options),choose source, timecode, ok, and now the clip is frozen. Now enable the top layer so it can be worked on using the keying effect (video effect-keying-ultra key(dragged onto the top layer). Then select the puppet tool (under ultra key on the far left - the one with the black circle/square/pen), then default (which should bring up a mid green colour after) then click on the cloak. Depending on the shot, I would then need to adjust the settings. This can be done by using matte generation and matte cleanup until the cloak is completely invisible. If the shadows are too prominent, then just bring the effect bit lower until it isn't visible.
